About Calloway 2022
In 2022, Calloway County will be 200 years old. This website is a place for our people to come together throughout the year to celebrate our birthday all year long in 2022. To do that, we need you, our citizens, to get excited and get involved. The intent is for this once-in-a-lifetime event to be a county-wide celebration.
The Calloway County Fiscal Court is pleased that we are celebrating in conjunction with the Murray Independent School District, which will celebrate 150 years of their existence, and Murray State University which will also be celebrating 100 years of teaching history in 2022.
The idea is to coordinate many activities throughout the year to heighten awareness. This appeal is to civic organizations, nonprofits, churches, sports teams and especially local businesses and industry to please take part in creating excitement around this year of celebration.
